tag_desc Before I ran off to the UK, I went to visit Bert and Christina in Huntsville again. This time I made sure to stay over a Sunday so that I could go to church with them.
I had a blast! I met Ataana; an amazingly cool guy from Europe. He came running with us and generally hung out (after running we’d eat at the WaffleHouse...).
We talked, hung out, talked, ran, talked, ate good food, talked, slept a little, talked, listed to music, talked, went to church, talked...e You get the picture!
Church was a lot of fun. It’s the first time I’ve been to a church since my Grandfather’s funeral. I loved the way Bert and Christina preach; there is no duality in their teaching, just an amazing comfort and connection with God. They had invited a singer named Donna to sing on Saturday night and that was pretty cool too. The one thing that struck me most about their church was the social atmosphere: people wanted to be there, it was fun, it was happy.
What a great trip.
