In the midst of packing for my move to the UK, I came
across a pile of letters that you’ve written me over the years... It’s amazing to me how good friendships can be so subtle and so powerful at the same time. You’ve always been there if I needed someone. You’ve been part of so many memorable experiences; you’ve been a confidant, a fellow conspirator, an instigator, and above all, my best friend. Together we’ve flown to so many places and kindled so many adventures! You’re so special to me; I’m so proud of who you’ve become and of who you’ve pushed me to become. We make a great team. Think off all the stories we have to tell our children. We really had the wild years that most people pass by until it’s too late. I wouldn’t trade our adventures for anything. I will always have room in my life for you, come visit, play, relax, reminisce, any time. I will miss being able to call you and go out for coffee or lunch; but I look forward to having you visit for not a night or a few hours but a week :) I love you and you will always be family. Your brother in spirit, Patrick. |
